Who we are


Linda Kabi
Linda Kabi is the principal of
e-businesslegal.

She has over 20 years of post-qualification experience in commercial law.

After graduating with a 2.1 degree in laws from University College London in 1982, Linda trained at City firm Norton Rose and qualified as a solicitor in 1985. She then obtained excellent and varied experience at Slaughter and May, before joining Ernst & Young's corporate finance department to enhance her commercial know-how.

In 1994 Linda moved into the telecoms industry, working in-house in BT's vastly expanding global division and at Hutchison 3G UK, the operator of 3, the new mobile phone company.

Linda has also worked in the charity sector as the Head of Legal Services at Help the Aged, a leading national charity.

She is a consultant to a leading US law firm's London office and offers interim General Counsel services.

After more than 20 years hard work it is difficult to pick highlights but here is a selection of the types of work Linda has undertaken:

• The legal work for a “mission critical” integrated donor, customer and stakeholder IT database
• Producing a suite of standard form agreements for use with suppliers, commercial participators
• Internet based ventures
• Joint ventures to bid for licences to operate mobile telecoms companies
• A billion pound investment in a joint venture in France
• The UK’s first ever mobile national roaming agreement
• Outsourcings, including a world first, the outsourcing of mobile video production services
• A major strategic alliance between a FTSE 100 company and a charity
• Establishing effective Corporate Governance
• Ensuring robust processes and procedures are in place to manage legal risk
• The privatisation of National Bus Company
